Park National School Initiatives & Activities

Team Sports

At Park National School, we love getting involved in team sports!  Our pupils enjoy taking part in soccer, Gaelic football and hurling, developing their skills while having lots of fun along the way.

We encourage all children to participate, work together and support one another, building confidence, teamwork and a strong sense of school spirit. Whether competing in matches or enjoying PE and training sessions, our pupils are always enthusiastic about getting out on the pitch and giving it their best.

Active Schools

Being active is an important part of a happy and healthy school live.  We are always looking for fun and creative ways to get everyone moving and enjoying physical activity.

Through our Active Schools Programme, pupils have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, challenges and initiative throughout the year.  From playground games and active breaks to sports and whole-school activities, we encourage every child to get involved, try something new and enjoy being active together.

Our aim is to make physical activity fun, inclusive and accessible to all, while helping our pupils develop healthy habits that they can enjoy both in school and beyond.

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor learning and exploration is central to school life here.  Our spacious pitch, yard and school garden offers plenty of room for physical activity and privdes each child with a sense of belonging through team games, while our poly tunnel and garden provides a unique opportunity for students to plant, nurture and harvest their own crops – deloping a deep appreciation of nature and responsibility along the way.  At Park National School there are endless opportunities for outdoor play including our playhouse and swings and a slide, mud kitchen, go karts and many more.

Creative Clusters + Arts Initiatives

We believe that creativity is an important part of every child’s learning and development.  Through Creative Clusters and a range of arts initiatives, our pupils have opportunities to explore their imagination, express themselves and discover new talents.

Our pupils enjoy getting involved in art, music, drama and creative projects, often working collaboratively and learning new skills along the way.  These initiatives provide wonderful opportunities for pupils to experiment, be inspired and share their creativity with others.

We are proud to encourage a love of the arts and to create a school environment where every child has the opportunity to create, explore and shine.

Active School Flag
